Mr. Corn Brightens Up Women’s Day
On the occasion of Women’s Day, Bioagra has prepared a special illumination that beautifies the space and reminds us of this special holiday.
On behalf of the company, Mr. Corn, the friendly mascot of Bioagra, sends the best wishes to all the ladies. Since the beginning of the week, his figure has been illuminating the area around the Ethanol Production Plant in Goświnowice, hence reminding about the upcoming Women’s Day.
Women’s Day is celebrated all over the world, with a history dating back more than a century. It was first celebrated on February 28, 1909 in the United States, and a year later the Socialist International in Copenhagen officially established International Women’s Day, thus emphasizing the fight for women’s suffrage and equality. In Poland, the holiday gained popularity especially during the Polish People’s Republic, when women were symbolically given carnation flowers and tights. Today, Women’s Day is less formalized and becomes an opportunity to express respect, gratitude and appreciation for the role of women in society.
Similar illuminations of the Ethanol Production Plant have already become a tradition. For several years now, the light installation has been a giant reminder of Women’s Day.
