The Ice Skating School invites you to visit the ice rink in Nysa
Instructors in characteristic yellow jackets with the Bioagra logo help residents master the art of skating. Children and adults have been seeking their advice for three years now.
School for everyone
The tips allow ice rink visitors to benefit from professional support. Those who are just starting out in this sport learn first and foremost the correct posture, which helps maintain balance on the ice. Then they learn the skills of falling safely, moving on the surface in skates, bouncing off it, and – finally – riding smoothly.
More experienced skaters can also benefit from practical tips. Instructors are happy to advise on how to improve their technique and explain advanced elements of skating, such as precise braking or alternating foot positions while skating.
– More and more people visit the ice rink thanks to our activities – says Dawid Szlempo, instructor of the Bioagra’s Skating School. – We have been providing advice for three years now and we can clearly see an increase in the skills of skaters from Nysa and the surrounding area. People are also more willing to use the help of instructors – they remember that these people in yellow jackets have the Bioagra logo, and you can approach them and ask how to ride or what to improve in your riding style – added Szlempo.
Bioagra instructors emphasize the positive results of working with children, who, upon seeing the effects of the exercises, immediately gain greater motivation. In the case of adults, there is initial resistance, which passes with time.
– Some adults laugh that they have to learn to skate at this age – says Dawid Szlempo. – When they notice the effectiveness of the exercises, they are eager to get involved and want to develop their skills. There are also people who come regularly to systematically improve their skills. – the instructor emphasized.
New quality of ice rink
The Nysa ice rink, which has been an important point on the map of winter activities of residents for years, has undergone a thorough metamorphosis. The comfort of use has increased significantly. The key change this year was the introduction of a roof. The ice rink can now be used seven days a week, regardless of weather conditions, which has so far been the biggest challenge for ice skating enthusiasts.
The instructors point out that the new infrastructure provides a more even ice surface, eliminating problems with contamination in the form of leaves or twigs. There are also no holes and puddles, which makes driving even more enjoyable and safer.
When to visit the ice rink?
The municipal ice rink in Nysa is located at 2 Kraszewskiego St and is open to schools from Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 2 PM. From 4 PM to 9 PM the facility is open to anyone interested in skating. On weekends, the ice rink is available from 9 AM to 9 PM (with 1 hour technical break from 3 PM to 4 PM).
Skaters have access to equipment rentals, including skates in various sizes, helmets and walkers for the youngest.
The admission ticket entitles you to use the ice rink without a time limit during one entry on the day of purchase.
Bioagra Skating School instructors provide advice every week from 4 PM, as well as on weekends.

NEC restores hot water in Nysa thanks to Bioagra
NEC’s unconventional approach and Bioagra’s support give hope for faster restoration of hot water and heating in Nysa. The CHP plant workers save flooded electronics with special ethanol, which was supplied by a company associated with Mr. Corn.
W Nysie zalanych zostało ponad 116 tzw. węzłów ciepłej wody i ogrzewania.
Over 116 so-called hot water and heating nodes were flooded in Nysa. Each of them contains electronic devices sensitive to moisture and dirt. They are expensive, but they cannot be bought on the spot. Without them, heating and hot water supply systems are practically “dead”. NEC’s unconventional approach and 1 000 liters of isopropanol, which Bioagra provided, help.
An idea as old as the flood
NEC has experience in electronics repairs gained during the 1997 flood.
– At that time, we managed to save many devices and today we are successfully restoring a very large part of the flooded (and, in theory, irreversibly destroyed) electronics to operation – says Artur Pawlak, president of the NEC management board. – So far, employees of the municipal company have managed to save 40 out of 50 modules managing hot water nodes.
Pawlak explains that sometimes the effect will be short-lived, but each repair gives more time for long-term solutions. On average, the effectiveness of repairs of individual electronic boards is 50 percent. The process involves disassembling electronic cabinets, washing the modules in specialist ethanol (isopropanol) supplied by Bioagra. The electronic boards are rinsed in an ultrasonic cleaner, blown with compressed air and heated in a regular… oven.
Bioagra saves electronics
The use of isopropanol, a specialist alcohol used to clean and remove moisture from electronics, plays a key role in the device rescue process.
– Nysa residents cannot wait for hot water and heating until November – says the president of NEC. – A certain batch of parts can be purchased, but specialist devices or modules will arrive at the end of October. We are searching online even for individual parts. We have to act quickly, saving what we have. Access to 1 000 liters of isopropanol, which we received practically immediately from Bioagra, allows us to work faster. When saving electronics, every hour counts – he adds.
The “repair, don’t throw away” philosophy
NEC’s approach is rooted in a company philosophy where employees are accustomed to repairing devices – even those that are deemed indispensable without destruction.
Flooding of consumer electronics devices poses additional difficulties. Water carries various substances, which – in combination with moisture – can be corrosive, settling on microconnections in the form of dirt that cuts off the flow of electricity.
The only solution for electronics in such a condition is to buy new devices or… use isopropanol and the method implemented by NEC. This gives hope for a faster restoration of hot water and starting the heating in all apartments in Nysa.

When the critical moment of flooding came, Bioagra supported the action in Nysa
When one of the flood embankments of the Nysa River required immediate reinforcement, the company delivered 1 000 specialist big bags with a load-bearing capacity of 1 ton each. This allowed for the rapid organization of the action of reinforcing the weakened flood embankment using helicopters.
At another critical moment, during the night and early morning hours, Bioagra and its workers responded immediately to deliver several dump trucks of sand and rubble. These were used to reinforce another breach in the embankment.
– We were relieved when it turned out that the company’s support came on time at a critical moment for the safety of Nysa’s residents – says Mirosław Obarski from Bioagra. – We managed to limit the losses, but we continue to help because the situation in Nysa and the surrounding area is still difficult.
Bioagra has prepared another emergency aid package in the form of many dump trucks of rubble and specialized foil. They will be used to strengthen and temporarily rebuild the flood embankment that was washed away outside Nysa. The company has also prepared a package of 5 specialist pumps and a mobile water tanker to remove water from flooded underground garages and basements in Nysa.
The Bioagra production plant located near Nysa is in constant contact with those in charge of the rescue and damage removal operations. The company responds almost immediately to all requests concerning, for example, specialist big bags, sand, aggregate, plastic sleeves and transport of these products to indicated locations in the Nysa Commune.
According to Bioagra, the involvement of companies and institutions as well as hundreds of city residents in rescue operations shows how important it is for the private, public and local community sectors to cooperate in crisis situations.
Bioagra would like to thank all company employees for their involvement in the flood prevention campaign.

The event was attended by approximately 1,000 participants, including residents of dozens of care centers, students from Nysa kindergartens and numerous volunteers from local educational institutions.
The organization of the event was once again supported by Bioagra, which provided flour and oil to prepare thousands of pierogi, which are the culinary hallmark of the event. Nysa resident becomes Nysa Beach Volleyball Champion for the first time
Last weekend, the final matches for the Nysa Beach Volleyball Championship took place. The event attracted over 140 players from all over the country. In the men’s category, the title was won by the pair of Michał Nalborski from Nysa and Jakub Korczyk from Andrychów.
– For the first time in the new history of the Nysa Beach Volleyball Championships, the title was won by a resident of Nysa – says Wojtek Kondracki, president of the Volley Beach Nysa Volleyball Club. – The final tournament, in which the best pairs from the entire championship cycle played, was extremely even. This is evidenced by the huge, record number of tie-breaks necessary to decide the match.
For the second time in the history of the reactivated competition, both women’s and men’s categories were competed in. The tournament was attended by competitors from various indoor leagues, but also by amateurs.
As the competition organizers emphasize, in this discipline all participants have a chance to win, regardless of their league reputation. Technical skills and experience are the basis for success, but beach conditions equalize or reverse the chances.
The winning pair is Michał Nalborski (a dietician from Nysa) and Jakub Korczyk (a firefighter from Andrychów), who won the gold medal in indoor volleyball with his team two years ago during the World Firefighters and Police Games. In the grand finale, they defeated the pair of Mateusz Podborączyński, from Kędzierzyn Koźle, the current vice-champion of Poland in beach volleyball, and Paweł Malicki from Wrocław.
Playing on the sand requires much more energy than on the court. Despite this, the women’s final tournament saw a record-breakingly long and very close match on the Nysa beach, that lasted 70 minutes.
The organizers point out that the competition maintained a high turnout during all the tournament eliminations. In total, over 80 men and 60 women participated and a total of several hundred matches were played. In the finals of the Nysa 2024 Championships, the eight best women’s pairs and sixteen men’s pairs competed.
Best women’s pairs:
In the women’s category, the winner was a pair from Wrocław, Karolina Olszewska and Justyna Brożek, who – despite losing in the first match, which is allowed by the Brazilian tournament system – won the entire tournament. In the final, also after a tie-break, they defeated Karolina Nowak from Ruda Kozielska and Paulina Szymańska from Kraków (2:1). Third place went to the favourites from Poznań, Klaudia Parzyńska and Jagoda Radzewicz, who defeated players from Milicz and Kalisz, Małgorzata Vlk and Magda Lachman.
Best Men’s Pairs:
The 2024 Nysa Champions were Michał Nalborski and Jakub Korczyk, who turned the tables and defeated the favored team with the current Polish vice-champion title, Mateusz Podborączyński and Paweł Malicki (2:1). Third place went to last year’s Nysa Champions, Szymon Bak and Mikołaj Sarnecki from Kędzierzyn-Koźle, who defeated the pair from Sieradz and Kalisz, Paweł Kozielski and Olek Walaszyk (2:1 after a tie-break).
