The next series of tennis matches supported by Bioagra is coming
Bioagra continues to support young tennis enthusiasts from Nysa and the surrounding area. The first Tournament of the Nysa Grand Slam series for Children and Youth will take place on May 27 this year.
Five tournaments are scheduled for this year’s competition, which will last until September. The goal behind the event is to popularize tennis and to instill in the young generation the desire to practice this useful sport. Participation in the competition is completely free and does not require the payment of the so-called entry fee.
A direct reference to the biggest tennis tournaments carries a significant educational value. Learning about their history and specificity, children are encouraged to expand their sports knowledge in practical and theoretical dimensions. Grand Slam tournaments are the most important and prestigious tournaments in the entire tennis world. In 1877, the first full-fledged Wimbledon was held, which is the oldest of the four tournaments. It was later joined by the US Open, French Open and Australian Open. All events have a long tradition and are key moments in the tennis calendar.
According to experts, playing tennis has a positive impact on children’s development. Tennis develops physical abilities, but also character and social skills. Through tennis, children learn perseverance, self-discipline and the ability to cope with stress. Movement coordination and reflexes developed on the court have a positive effect on the psychophysical development of children. Playing tennis also encourages a healthy lifestyle and physical activity. It is a sport, but also a form of entertainment that integrates the family and allows you to make new friends. All these elements make tennis an excellent form of activity for children, which positively affects their development and well-being.
Nysa Grand Slam series tournament for Children and Youth, for the Staroste’s Cup is organized by the UKS Nysa Tennis School, with the support of the District Office in Nysa and Bioagra. The games take place on the courts at Kraszewski st. Free admission for players and spectators.

Bioagra invests in the improvement of technological processes
The new investment carried out by Bioagra in the Ethanol Production Plant “Goświnowice” includes a number of technological processes related to the production of ethanol and feed materials. The effect of these actions will be a 50% reduction in water vapor emissions from the feed material drying installation. This will reduce the intensity of the smell, as well as the consumption of water and energy needed for production.
For several years, the company has been implementing various solutions aimed at further reducing the plant’s impact on the natural environment and the company’s surroundings. However, the latest investment is one of the largest projects of this type in the history of the company. A number of improvements include many elements of the production installation and will be carried out together with the American company KATZEN, which is a supplier of innovative technological solutions for ethanol production plants.
Bioagra points out that the investment will measurably reduce the plant’s demand for energy, water and gas. This will help the company keep up with competition from foreign companies and remain a leader in the region in the implementation of the postulates of a zero-emission economy. Thanks to the energy recovered from steam, the plant will reduce the consumption of natural gas by 10 percent. Reducing the use of this fossil fuel is a step towards making industrial activities independent of gas as an energy source, as well as reducing CO2 emissions.
– The investment will bring many different benefits – says Mirosław Obarski from Bioagra – The most visible will be the halving of water vapor emissions, which is considered one of the so-called greenhouse gasses. However, the level of odor from the technological process will also be reduced. In the production process, the plant will use energy that has previously escaped with steam into the atmosphere – explains Mirosław Obarski.
The implementation is based, among others, on the “return” of energy from the end of the technological process to one of the initial stages of production. The energy taken away from hot water vapor, which is formed during the drying of the so-called feed material, will be used, among others, for heating the mash. At the same time, the company’s engineers will reduce the temperature of this process using the so-called low temperature cooking. To obtain energy from hot steam, it must be condensed. The water recovered in this way will be used in the plant for the mash preparation process.
The development of the solution and preparation for implementation took over two years. Its implementation will take almost half a year in total. For it to work, distant production stages must be connected with a network of technological pipelines. This requires numerous pumps, heat exchangers, expansion tanks and heaters.
The investment requires high precision and technical advancement at many stages of implementation. The devices weighing many tons are installed between the elements of the existing infrastructure. Therefore, there is, for example, the need to install devices from the top, which requires the disassembly of part of the roofing.
Bioagra constantly invests in solutions that reduce the impact on the natural environment and the surrounding area. The company has so far spent tens of millions of zlotys (PLN) to reduce the smell and sound intensity. A number of improvements and modifications contributed to the reduction of the sound intensity generated by the production installation. Bioagra in the Ethanol Production Plant “Goświnowice” has also launched a system for reducing the odor generated in the fermentation process, which has been in operation for several years.

Bioagra supports the restocking of Lake Nyskie
The Polish Angling Association in Opole, with the support of Bioagra, carried out the first restocking of Lake Nyskie this year in the form of 160 kgs of autumn fry zander. This year, as in previous seasons, several hundred thousand young fish will be brought to the reservoir.
This is just a fraction of a larger activity that Bioagra supports since 2009, by cooperating with the Polish Angling Association in Opole in the restocking of Lake Nyskie. For this purpose, the company donated PLN 10k each year and – from this year on – PLN 14k.
The first restocking of Lake Nyskie this year was started with zander fry, which came from last year’s spawning and overwintered well in breeding tanks. It is now ready to be released into the wide waters of Lake Nyskie and will soon be joined by other batches of fry of other species, including more zander along with pike (summer fry), stocking eels, carp, crucian carp and tench.
According to the experts of the Polish Angling Association of the PZW Opole District, even several hundred thousand fish will end up in the reservoir in the form of fry.

– Restocking of Lake Nyskie is conducive to creating conditions in which a fully-fledged aquatic ecosystem is created – says Mirosław Obarski, Bioagra. – The company has been supporting this process for several years.
Fish act in water reservoirs as a natural filter, e.g. by cleaning them of excess vegetation or phytoplankton. Others, like predators such as zander, regulate the population of the so-called fish of peaceful prey, e.g. bream, crucian carp, roach. These species, also known as white fish, accelerate the process of increasing the fertility of waters in excess.
We would like to remind you that in the PZW Opole waters, the protective size of zander is up to 50 cm, and the upper one is 90 cm, the protection period lasts from 1.01 to 31.05. The annual limit for pike and zander is 35 pieces in total.
